Bank BTPN “Daya Fest 2022”: Self-Potential Empowerment to Embrace Challenges in 2023


Jakarta, 16 December 2022 - Approaching the year of 2023, Indonesians are still faced with various challenges, from the increasing number of COVID-19 cases, the never-ending effects of the pandemic and its impacts to the society, as well as the projected global economic recession which add more pressure among Indonesians. In order to encourage Indonesiansto face all these uncertainties, Bank BTPN is organizing "Daya Fest'' for the second time with the theme “Tambah Daya lewat Optimalisasi Potensi/Increase Capacity through Potential Optimization”. In line with this year's theme, Daya Fest 2022 is intended to be a series of empowerment to enrich one's potential in facing challenging situations in 2023.

 

President Director Bank BTPN Henoch Munandar explained that empowerment is one of the Unique Value Propositions (UVP) ​​possessed by Bank BTPN, along with its digital technology leverage. Bank BTPN is committed to empowering millions of its customers and the Indonesian people as well through the Daya program, a flagship empowerment program that has been rolled out since 2011.

 

“Daya Fest is one of our vision’s manifestations. Through this empowerment festival, Bank BTPN wants to share the latest information regarding empowerment, inspiration, education and digitalization to customers and the public. Moreover, Daya Fest 2022 not only focuses on empowering MSME players like the previous year, but also wants to encourage every element of society to participate in this program.”

 

The series of seminar in Daya Fest 2022 held today (16/12) presented empowerment classes that correlate to the four main pillars of Daya, namely Competence Development with the theme "Maximizing Self Competency Development to Brace the Impact of the Global Recession", Personal Financial Health with the theme "Financial Health for the Peace of Thoughts”, Capacity to Grow for Business with the theme “Resilience of Business Growth in Times of Uncertainty”, and Sustainable Living with the theme “Sustainable Living for a Better Future”. Also present and opening the event were the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy Sandiaga Uno, and Deputy Commissioner for Banking Supervision of the Financial Services Authority Teguh Supangkat.

 

The Daya Fest 2022 program earned appreciation from the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy, Sandiaga S. Uno, who conveyed it in his welcoming speech. “Congratulations to Bank BTPN for holding Daya Fest Bank BTPN 2022, especially nowadays the MSME sector is a crucial sector and is capable of being one of the pillars that supports the nation's economy. The presence of Daya Fest 2022 is in line with our commitment to developing MSME players' businesses, particularly in choosing capital market financing through the four pillars of Bank BTPN’s empowerment in order to create jobs and business opportunities for inclusive and sustainable economic development," said Sandiaga.

 

In line with Sandiaga's statement, Deputy Commissioner for Bank Supervision I of the Financial Services Authority Teguh Supangkat expressed his views. “The world is being overshadowed by uncertainties marked by the slow-down of global economic growth, however according to IMF outlook, Indonesia is projected to grow by 5% in 2023. This is attributable to the role of MSMEs as one of the key drivers of our economy which significantly contributes to the national GDP. Therefore, MSME players are expected to be better prepared in order to thrive in all conditions by maintaining financial health, product innovation through digital technology as well as good financial records and reports,” said Teguh.

 

“OJK is committed to ensure digital acceleration in the banking industry to increase the efficiency of the national economy and encourage the expansion of financial inclusion, including for all MSME players,” added Teguh.

 

"We hope Daya Fest 2022 will not only be an ongoing program, but becomes a space for empowerment and self-development that are relevant to implement in everyday life. Furthermore, through this program we hope to inspire the Indonesian people to keep moving, innovating and making contributions; particularly in preparing for various challenges in the upcoming year.
