Capacity Development for the Success of SME Customers

Program Daya is a continuous and measurable empowering program from Bank BTPN to increase the customers’ capacity. Mitra Bisnis Club is a place for SME customers to get business success inspiration or to learn about economy and business topic from business practitioners, economists or experts in other fields. Besides providing inspiration and knowledge, Mitra Bisnis Club is also a place for networking for SME customers. “Customers will get to know each other so they can introduce or promote their businesses,” Canisius said.

 

Mitra Bisnis Club has featured different topics such as tax business by presenting tax consultant, digitl business by presenting e-commerce supervisor and economic projection by presenting notable economist.

 

As one of the speakers in the Mitra Bisnis Club, INDEF economist Bhima Yudhistira apprecited Bank BTPN’s efforts to the SME customers. He said besides financial-related products and services, customers also need nonfinancial supports to develop their capacity including business development consultation, widening business network as well as providing acurate economic information.

 

For the SME business prospect, Bhima said there were a window of opportunity in the middle of the US-China trade war. For example, the order of textile and garments to the US is increasing in the middle of trade war. Besides, online-based business through digital or social media platforms will still be blooming. “For customers, the key to success is by innovating, increasing human resources capacity and knowing the government’s policy,” he said.
