Daya Fest 2024: Bank BTPN's Continued Commitment to Empowering Communities, Local SMEs
Bank BTPN returns with the “Empowerment for Indonesia” Daya Fest 2024 as part of its ongoing efforts to amplify the positive impact on the progress of SMEs in Indonesia.
Jakarta, 27 August 2024 – PT Bank BTPN Tbk (Bank BTPN) has consistently pursued sustainable social and environmental empowerment to make a meaningful difference in people's lives through the Daya program, launched in 2011.
As part of its ongoing commitment to empowering Indonesian communities through the micro, small, and medium enterprise (MSME) sector, Bank BTPN is proud to host the “Empowerment for Indonesia” Daya Fest 2024 on August 27, 2024, at Menara Bank BTPN in Jakarta.
Daya Fest is a signature event of Daya, highlighting one of Bank BTPN's unique value propositions (UVPs) alongside its advanced digital technology.
Daya Fest 2024 is designed around a variety of activities that embody Daya's four core pillars: self- capacity development, financial literacy, business growth, and sustainable living.
This initiative supports the Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs' strategy for realizing the “Golden Indonesia 2045” vision, focusing on strengthening SMEs' roles in industrial supply chains, embedding sustainability into business practices, and promoting inclusive entrepreneurship1.
“We are delighted to once again host Daya Fest, which has been held annually since 2021. Daya Fest 2024 is here to support MSME players in enhancing their capabilities and expanding their business networks through various strategic programs,” said Henoch Munandar, President Director of Bank BTPN.
“The timing of Daya Fest 2024 during the celebration of Indonesia's 79th Independence Day adds further significance to this event, as it aims to drive the nation's progress while also demonstrating Bank BTPN's commitment to Indonesia's development,” added Henoch.
Among the key events at Daya Fest 2024 is Selendang Mayang, an annual bazaar that offers broader market access to MSME partners supported by Bank BTPN. This year, Selendang Mayang features over 900 products from more than 100 MSME participants, who are also Bank BTPN customers.
Furthermore, the Empowerment Festival offers MSME partners a chance to gain insights from leading entrepreneurship experts.
The Empowerment Festival features four talk show sessions, each topic related to Bank BTPN's core empowerment pillars. These sessions are designed to equip MSME partners with better business skills and financial management, helping them unlock more growth opportunities in the future.
The Empowerment Festival hosts four expert speakers, including filmmaker Ernest Prakasa, who delves into personal capacity development. Content creator Fellexandro Ruby delivers insights on financial literacy, while Agnes Sukenty Niken, founder of herbal drink producer Ing Pawon, offers strategies for business capacity building. Also, Melvi Tampubolon, Partner and Chief Operating Officer of Tobatenun, highlights the importance of sustainable living.
“As I developed Ing Pawon, I realized the importance of preparing myself to grow the business. Fortunately, I had the opportunity to participate in MSME coaching through the Daya program. During this time, I gained new insights, particularly in essential marketing strategies, connected with other business owners to exchange products and ideas, and shared valuable lessons—both from Bank BTPN as the organizer and from other entrepreneurs,” said the founder of Ing Pawon.
Ing Pawon is one of the millions of beneficiaries empowered through the Daya program. From January to June 2024, the Daya program has reached a total of 6.3 million beneficiaries through more than 4,000 activities, including entrepreneurship training for customers.
“Every activity at Daya Fest 2024 is designed to meet the diverse needs of our MSME partners in maintaining business sustainability and raising public awareness of high-quality local products. We hope this initiative will have a positive impact on both MSMEs and the wider public,” concluded Henoch.
