TO IMPROVE SERVICE TO THEIR CUSTOMERS, BTPN AND ALLIANZ LIFE INDONESIA COLLABORATE IN BANCASSURANCE

JAKARTA – in order to ensure top-quality service for their respective customers, PT Bank Tabungan Pensiunan Nasional Tbk (BTPN) and PT Allianz Life Indonesia have entered into a bancassurance collaboration. By means of this partnership, BTPN will market the protection wrapped investment products (unit-linked) Guardia Premium and Guardia Investa at all BTPN Sinaya branches.

An agreement of cooperation to this effect was signed by Vice-President Director of BTPN Ongki W Dana and Vice-President Director of PT Asuransi Allianz Life Indonesia Handojo Kusuma, last Thursday (17/10).

At its unveiling, Ongki explained that Guardia is the first unit-linked product to be marketed by BTPN Sinaya. It is hoped that the availability of Guardia will meet the needs of BTPN customers in terms of an investment product that provides an optimal yield while, at the same time, providing optimal protection.

BTPN is confident that the diversification of its products will enhance its competitive edge which, in turn, will increase the loyalty of customers towards BTPN Sinaya. The Guardia product complements the other top-quality products offered by BTPN Sinaya, such as its Time Deposit product which provides optimal interest and its TASETO savings product which provides deposit-equivalent interest.

BTPN’s funding business not only offers savings and deposit products with an optimal rate of return, but also the chance to participate in creating opportunities for lower-income communities and Micro & Small Enterprises to grow and gain significance “Funds that are collected through BTPN Sinaya are distributed in full to lower-income groups and micro & small enterprises in the form of loans,” said Ongki.

For Allianz Life, Guardia is a product born of the trusting relationship it shares with BTPN. It represents a chance for Allianz Life to provide its customers with an optimal level of protection and investment. The benefits that Guardia offers include full life insurance coverage against numerous risks in life. Customers will also be covered for medical evacuations – valid anywhere in the world – which will give peace of mind to those who spend a lot of time travelling both domestically and internationally.

Guardia Premium is a unit-linked insurance product with various options in terms of the size of the sum assured as well as additional protection (Riders). Guardia Premium provides comprehensive insurance protection and optimal investment benefits in that customers can immediately receive an investment allocation in the first year, and then even get an additional 10% from the third year. This differentiates Guardia Premium from other unit-linked products in which new customers only get their investment allocation on a proportional basis in the first year.

In addition, customers can choose from a variety of available funds. All of these funds are managed by a professional investment manager and are oriented towards safe investments based on prudent principles. One of the funds available is the Equity IndoAsia fund which places investment funds in stocks in Indonesia and several other Asian countries like South Korea, Hong Kong, Taiwan, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Malaysia.

“With a choice of investment fund types that are varied and of good quality, customers will have flexibility in determining their long-term investment plans in line with their individual risk profiles. We are confident that the availability of this product will give BTPN customers a range of investment choices,” said Handojo.

Guardia Investa, meanwhile, is a unit-linked life insurance product with a single premium payment method (the premium is paid all at once up front). This product also provides an investment allocation in full, plus 5,26% from the first year. The benefit of this insurance is life protection until the age of 100 with a Sum Assured amounting to 125% of the total single premium paid. The Guardia Investa product is aimed at BTPN Sinaya customers who wish to maximize their investment with a one-time premium payment.
