BTPN HOLDS MASS MARKET EMPOWERMENT PROGRAM IN BANJARMASIN
Banjarmasin - Friday, September 7, 2012, PT Bank Tabungan Pensiunan Nasional (BTPN) held an empowerment program in the BTPN Purna Bakti Banjarmasin Branch, Jalan A. Yani km 3,5 no 240, Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan. Daya is a sustainable and measurablemass market empowerment program aiming to increase the capacity of retirees, micro and small entrepreneurs (MSEs), as well as productive low income community customers. Widyo Tri Laksono attended the event as Area Business Head.
On the occasion, Widyo explains more about Daya, "BTPN developed the program based on business models that integrate our social and business mission, or "Do Good Do Well". Because BTPN believes that its involvement in improving the environment of customers will boost their capacity to grow, which ultimately improves the Bank’s growth performance."
The empowerment program “Daya”, which is designed to improve customer capacity, consists of three pillars: Daya Sehat Sejahtera (Health and Wellness), Daya Tumbuh Usaha (Entrepreneurial Capacity Building ), and Daya Tumbuh Komunitas (Daya Community Empowerment).
The program carried out in Banjarmasin is the Daya Health and Wellness program. Daya Health and Wellness is a program that provides information and consultation on health and well-being, as well as provide medical examination services to promote illness prevention awareness. This activity is supported by medical professionals spread across BTPN's operational areas.
"Until June 31, 2012, the nation-wide program has reached 948,269 beneficiaries, an increase of 61% over the same period last year, which recorded 588,540 beneficiaries. The beneficiaries are mass market customers, i.e micro and small businesses, retirees, as well as productive low-income communities," said Widyo.
Widyo added that the amount of daya activities and training classes held also increased by102% from 18,187 events (as of June 2011) to 36,669 events (as of June 2012). In addition, BTPN's empowerment programs implemented this year received very positive feedback from customers. Based on the evaluation of the measurement results, the average customer satisfaction rate reached 90%.
"Through the program, we hope to contribute directly in improving the capacity of the community, in order for them to further grow and ultimately have a more meaningful life," said Widyo.
