THE OPENING OF BTPN - BALIKPAPAN BRANCH & LADIES BRANCH MEDAN


The date of 28th November 2008 marked another milestone for BTPN. President Commissioner Dorodjatun Kuntjoro Jakti, accompanied by Director Ongki W. Dana and Anika Faisal, officially opened Balikpapan Branch, the second branch in East Kalimantan province. Deputy Mayor of Balikpapan H. Rizal Effendi and Dorodjatun Kuntjoro Jakti signed the plaque and cut the ribbon to symbolize the branch opening. 
  
The Bank also used that opportunity to donate Rp 25 million to the city government to support the greenery program of Balikpapan. Balikpapan Branch is BTPN's 49th branch and located at a strategic location on the main strip of Jend. Sudirman right across Klandasan Market. The branch is targeting on accommodating 4,500 pensioners as well as collecting the third-party funds in Balikpapan to stimulate the banking sector in the city and its surrounding areas.

On the other side, the Bank has added another strategic move in the collection of the third-party funds, with another new branch opening, i.e. a ladies branch in Medan. The soft opening took place 18th November 2008, followed by the grand office opening on 2nd December 2008. BTPN's Directors and North Sumatra Governor - H. Syamsul Arifin, who was accompanied by the representatives of the Regional Consultative Councils (Muspida) and Bank Indonesia Medan marked the opening of the branch office located on Jl. Ir. H. Juanda Medan.

At the opening ceremony, BTPN's Board of Director represented by Anika Faisal presented a donation of Rp 25 million to support the greenery program in North Sumatra.

Both in Medan and Balikpapan, the opening ceremony was followed by an evening reception that included a talk show with the theme "Business Opportunities and Challenges in 2009".
