Jenius Encourages Digital-Savvy Community to Be Physically, Financially Healthy Through Pocari Sweat Run Indonesia Collaboration

Surabaya, May 25, 2023 – Jenius from PT Bank BTPN Tbk (Bank BTPN) continues to receive positive responses from the digital-savvy community in Surabaya since its first offline presence here through Jenius Live (Jenius booth) in 2018.

To help the digital-savvy community manage their finances and life better through simpler, smarter, and safer life finance solution, Jenius is inviting them to participate in the annual marathon event.

“Surabaya is one of the most remarkable cities for Jenius. Other than being known as a business city, Surabaya has various communities that started with hobbies, and one of them is the running community. On this occasion, Jenius––as the co-title sponsor of Pocari Sweat Run Indonesia––would like to invite Jenius friends in Surabaya to partake in the annual marathon event. Jenius believes that running and managing finances both require enthusiasm, patience, commitment and dedication to achieve the goals," said Anita Ekasari, Digital Banking Acquisition, Service and Marketing Head, Bank BTPN.

"To make this collaboration more exciting, we also have the #LariBarengJenius program—where we give special offers to purchase the race tickets using Jenius—activities with the Jenius Co.Create community and running communities in various cities in Indonesia, and many more excitements during race pack collection and race day," added Anita.

Gading Santoso Putri, Head of Partnership of PT Amerta Indah Otsuka, Project Lead for Pocari Sweat Run Indonesia 2023 said, “Pocari Sweat Run Indonesia 2023 will be held at Gedung Sate, Bandung on July 30, 2023 with hybrid experience; simultaneously conducted offline in Bandung and virtually throughout Indonesia. The hope is that runners will gain new experiences to be more educated for future financial preparations through the collaboration with Jenius."

As many as 11,000 offline tickets were sold out within 56 minutes in December 2022, while virtual run tickets are still available with a special cashback offer of Rp75,000 for purchases using Jenius. Pocari Sweat Run Indonesia 2023 is aimed to reach out to people from all circles through different categories, namely marathon, half marathon, and 10K for the offline category, and marathon, half marathon, 10K, 5K, 3K, and kids dash for virtual run.

Jenius' revolutionary features help Jenius friends prepare their finances from training to participating in running races. One of the features is Dream Saver, an autodebit savings account with an interest of 2.5% per year, that can help prepare for training or before participating in a race. With Dream Saver, you can choose deposit amount and period. As the name implies, Jenius friends can use Dream Saver to set savings targets to fulfill their dreams, including one to take part in marathons abroad that require an allocation of more funds, or to buy other running needs.

Jenius friends can also use the Jenius QR feature to perform cashless transactions simpler in running races in cities throughout Indonesia, whether it's for shopping, buying drinks and snacks, eating, and various other transactions with QRIS, just by scanning the code with Jenius QR in the app. Jenius friends also have the flexibility to choose the source of funds for payments with Jenius QR, either through direct withdrawals from Active Balance or using Jenius Paylater to be paid in the next month.

Not only that, for overseas marathons or races, Jenius friends can use the Foreign Currency feature for easier transactions. The Foreign Currency feature in Jenius allows users to own and manage up to seven foreign currencies directly from one application without additional fees or documents. The seven foreign currencies are the United States dollar (USD), Singaporean dollar (SGD), Japanese yen (JPY), British poundsterling (GBP), Australian dollar (AUD), Euro (EUR), and Hong Kong dollar (HKD).

Jenius friends can directly connect foreign currencies that have been activated to Jenius Visa Debit Card (m-Card) so that all transactions are directly deducted from the foreign currency balance. Operational hours for buying and selling foreign currencies on the Jenius app are available from Monday to Friday at 09.00–18.00 WIB, except during national holidays.

While running makes people healthier, a healthy level of cash flow also needs to be maintained despite expenses for running needs. To maintain a healthy cash flow, from running preparation to post-race, Jenius friends can use the Moneytory feature to monitor income and expenses more easily. In addition, Jenius also has Flexi Cash feature that can be used as additional funds to purchase marathon needs or other needs. Flexi Cash is a flexible fund for Jenius users to fulfill their various needs, allowing them to conveniently and flexibly set the amount of funds that can be withdrawn multiple times. The limit offered also varies, up to Rp200 million for each user. Thus, Jenius friends can focus more on their goals but still manage their finances well.

In support of Jenius friends who are just about to start running, or who are preparing for a running event, Jenius also offers various special promos through the #LariBarengJenius program for ticket purchases using Jenius Visa Credit Card. Some of the offers are 50% discount promos for shopping online for running needs, ranging from shoes, sportswear, or other equipment at MAPCLUB. The promos are valid every day from May 24 to June 2, 2023. For Jenius friends who are looking for a gadget or smartwatch to support their training or races, they can enjoy Rp1 million-discount promo for online shopping at Eraspace and iBox, which is valid every Saturday and Sunday from June 3 to July 31, 2023.
