BTPN Wins “Innovation Appreciation” Award while Continuing to Develop its Digital Platform


PT Bank Tabungan Pensiunan Nasional Tbk (BTPN) won an Innovation Appreciation award from the newspaper KORAN SINDO in the category of Product and Technology Innovation on Tuesday, 29 August 2017. At the awards ceremony, which was held in the Grand Ballroom of the Westin Hotel in Jakarta, BTPN received this award for Jenius, an innovative digital banking platform.

 

The Innovation Appreciation awards held by KORAN SINDO are presented to companies that have been able to create and apply outstanding innovations in their business. The award winners are determined through a series of evaluation stages performed by an independent jury. KORAN SINDO presents the awards to various companies in a number of different sectors, ranging from banking to automotive, which are adjudged to have devised forward-looking innovations in either their products or services.

 

“We are very grateful for the Innovation Appreciation award given to us by KORAN SINDO. For us, this award represents an acknowledgement of our innovativeness in creating Jenius, a revolutionary digital banking platform based on a digitization process which we pioneered from an early stage,” said Peterjan Van Nieuwenhuizen, Head of Digital Banking at BTPN, after accepting the award.

 

Jenius is a digital banking platform intended for the consuming-class segment which is associated with technologically-smart urban dwellers. This application was designed and developed by BTPN to assist digitally-savvy people in organizing and managing their life finance in a simpler, smarter and safer way using a smartphone.

 

The innovations produced by BTPN are an inseparable part of the dynamics of a society that increasingly needs simple all-round services which are quick but still secure.
