BTPN Launches Senam Purnabakti (Retiree Aerobics)

JAKARTA, 17 September 2017 – With its vision of changing the lives of millions of Indonesians, PT Bank Tabungan Pensiunan Nasional Tbk (BTPN) is convinced that people from all sections of society wish to lead a more meaningful life. Through our business, we provide access to finance, information and training, all of which help people to make this wish come true.

Through Daya, a measured and sustainable empowerment program, we provide guidance and training to enhance our customers’ capacities. Daya consists of the following three program pillars: Daya Sehat Sejahtera, with a focus on health; Daya Tumbuh Usaha, with a focus on business development; and Daya Tumbuh Komunitas, with a focus on community development.

To complement Daya Sehat Sejahtera, BTPN has also launched Senam Purnabakti (Retiree Aerobics), a form of exercise designed specifically to enable retirees to live more healthily.

“With 59 years of experience in catering to the needs of its pensioner customers, BTPN believes that not only do civilian retirees and retired officers require quick and simple financial services, but they also need to keep living a healthy and prosperous life. As part of our efforts to assist these retirees in leading a healthier life, BTPN has launched Senam Purnabakti,” said Deputy President Director of BTPN Ongki W.Dana.

Senam Purnabakti was specially designed in cooperation with a number of health and sports experts. This exercise program is tailored to the needs of pensioners but can also be practiced by the community at large.

To mark the launch of Senam Purnabakti, today BTPN is staging a simultaneous mass aerobics event in six major cities in Indonesia, namely Jakarta, Bandung, Semarang, Surabaya, Medan and Makassar. More than 2,000 people are set to take part in the Senam Purnabakti launch. Senam Purnabakti is also expected to boost the government's 2016 - 2019 National Action Plan for Elderly Health, while helping Indonesian retirees to live as healthily as possible and to optimize their sunset years.

Meanwhile, in addition to launching Senam Purnabakti, BTPN also continues to innovate and transform in order to improve its customer service. For example, the bank has added numerous customer service points, through alternative channels such as ATMs and other digital services, to assist people by providing them with greater access to banking services.
