Bank BTPN presents Jenius services in Makassar


Makassar, March 20, 2019 – Jenius, a life finance solution for digital savvy is officially present in Makassar, South Sulawesi. After being introduced in the Greater Jakarta, Bandung, Surabaya, Malang and Medan, Jenius is committed to expand its services to help Indonesians in managing their finances better. Based on a research by Nielsen, there was 37% of Indonesian population using smartphone in the past 5 years, meanwhile the use of internet daily in the same period increased by 22%. In the Jenius Financial Study titled “Indonesia Digital Savvy Behavior 2019 with Nielsen”, Jenius discussed the digital influence to the conventional behavior of Indonesian digital savvy. The study was conducted throughout 2,055 respondents in 11 major cities in Indonesia including in the Greater Jakarta, Medan, Surabaya and Makassar. In the research, the Gen Z, Gen Y, Gen X and Baby Boomers said they accessed different apps to fulfill their lifestyle needs including their financial access. Most of digital savvy in Makassar accessed internet for 5.5 hours per day on weekdays and 6.8 hours on weekends, according to the survey.

 

“This study showed that Indonesian people are really integrated to internet through their mobile phones. This also happens in Makassar, which is one of metropolitans in Sulawesi. Internet and smart phones have changed the way people do their daily activities including in financial aspects. Therefore, Jenius is present in Makassar to provide easier, smarter and saver financial services,” explained Irwan Sutjipto Tisnabudi, Bank BTPN’s Value Proposition & Product Head, Deputy Head of Digital Banking.

The $Cashtag feature gives options for users to remember and give information of their account number to other parties easier because it is made of names instead of numbers.

 

As a comprehensive financial managing solution, Jenius provides different types of savings in one Jenius account such as Flexi Saver, Dream Saver and Maxi Saver. Flexi Saver is a flexible saving with attractive interest that can be withdrawn or saved anytime without any limited period. The Dream Saver can be used for a specific purpose and can be automatically withdrawn from the daily, weekly and monthly Active Balance. Meanwhile, Maxi Saver is a Jenius time deposit with optimum interest.
