FIRST HALF 2007: EARNINGS BEFORE TAX RP 209.1 B


Bandung (Admin). BTPN has recorded earnings before tax for the first half of 2007 in the amount of Rp 209.1 billion, or an increase of 165 percent over the same period last year of Rp 78.9 billion. This is consistent with the lending growth of 80% yoy, which reached Rp 6.5 trillion as of June 2007. Net interest income was recorded Rp 489 billion or jumped 95.3% over Rp 250 billion last year, while operating income soared by 170.9% from Rp 85 billion to Rp 230 billion.

 

Along with the improved financial performance, financial ratios also followed positive development. Return on Assets (ROA) rose to 5.65% from 3.50% in the previous year; Return on Equity (ROE) rose to 31.41% from 14.62%, and Net Interest Margin (NIM) reached 14.06% from the previous 12.73%.

 

Total assets was Rp 8.3 trillion or went up 74.1% over the same period last year and is estimated to reach Rp 10 trillion by the end of 2007.
