BTPN WINS ABFI BANKING AWARD 2008


Bandung (Admin). PT Bank Tabungan Pensiunan Nasional (BTPN) once again won a prestigious award from Perbanas Institute, i.e.  Asian Banking Finance and Informatic (ABFI) on Tuesday, 26th August in Jakarta.

 

A total of 37 banks have won the recognition of "excellent" in a rating called the Best Performance Banking and 14 best banks were selected among the banks with excellent performance. Bank Indonesia Governor Boediono also attended the presentation of ABFI Banking Award.

 

The award consisted of seven categories based on the banks' scale and business segmentation. For the first category of Large Private Banks (comprising four banks), Bank Danamon has been selected to take the first rank. The second category was Medium Private Banks (comprising four banks) and the winner was BTPN. In the category of Small Private Banks (comprising 8 banks), the winner was Liman International Bank. The State-owned Bank category was taken by BRI, which won over BTN. Region-owned Bank category put Bank Jabar & Banten as it winner, while in the category of Mixed Banks, the winner was Bank Woori Indonesia. Lastly, taking the top position for Foreign Bank category was Tokyo-Mitsubishi Bank.

 

Up to now, BTPN Award has won four awards, such as The Best Bank 2008 for banks with total assets of Rp1 trillion - Rp25 trillion, InfoBank Golden Trophy Award 2008 for banks with capital of Rp100 billion - Rp10 trillion, Bisnis Indonesia Award 2008 for banks with total assets of Rp10 trillion - Rp50 trillion, and ABFI Banking Award Best Performance Banking 2008 for Medium Private Banks.
